Lamaignere Shipping & SetSail World – The Mediterranean is Yours to Explore.

The Portuguese ship NRP Álvarez Cabral made a stop at the Rota Naval Base on February 1, 2025, as part of an essential logistical operation. During its stay, technical tasks and resupply operations were carried out to ensure the vessel’s optimal performance in future missions.

Lamaignere Shipping managed the logistics and technical support services, coordinating inspections, repairs, and the necessary provisioning. This collaboration strengthens ties between allied armed forces and highlights Rota’s strategic importance in international operations.

From August 27th to 30th, the Lamaignere Shipping team acted as a ship agent at the Rota Naval Base, coordinating two vessels: the TCG Alemdar, a submarine rescue mother ship of the Turkish Navy’s Alemdar class, and the ITS Carabiniere, a frigate in service with the Italian Navy.

On July 12th at the Rota Naval Base, Lamaignere Shipping provided assistance to one of the world’s most renowned German military ships, the FGS Hamburg. Our team delivered top-notch support to ensure that the scheduled technical stop for that day was a complete success. This is not the first German military ship managed by Lamaignere Shipping; we have previously coordinated operations with the FGS Bayern as well.

We start the new month of July happy to welcome the famous Italian ship ITS Carabiniere at the naval base in Rota, where our extensive team of professionals at Lamaignere Shipping has provided their ship agency services. This is not the first time we have had the great opportunity to receive the ITS Carabiniere on the Andalusian coast; we have previously managed operations with this historic Italian ship. On June 23 and 24, the team of professionals at Lamaignere Shipping had the great opportunity to support the technical call of this impressive military ship with their ship agency services. It is worth noting that the HMCS Charlottetown is a Halifax-class frigate that has served in the Royal Canadian Navy for over 20 years. Below, we share some photographs with you.

In yet another operation of Lamaignere Shipping’s expertise as a ship agency with a solid portfolio in military ships, we are pleased to share some photos of the Italian military ship ITS Montecuccoli.  

We provided assistance following a technical call they made at the Port of Rota for refueling, where they will be stationed from May 2nd to May 3rd. 

On February 3-5, the flagship Giuseppe Garibaldi one of the most iconics italian Navy Ship, stopped in the port of Rota. Lamaignere Shipping coordinated the operation in port.

Its the first through-deck aviation ship ever built for the Italian Navy, and the first Italian ship built to operate fixed-wing aircraft. Although she is widely recognised as a carrier first and foremost, she is officially designated as an aircraft-carrying cruiser. We share our best pictures.

Lamaignere Shipping continues working with military services in one of the most strategic points around the world, in this case, at the port of Rota Nal Base.

This ship, is one of the three amphibious assault ships maded by Fincantieri between 1985 and 1993. These ships can carry a battalion of troops, and up to 36 armored vehicles. The stern floodable dock can accommodate three landing craft.
